Thursday, April 7 – Saturday April 9, 2021
9:00 am — 4:00 pm
$450 (Booth Museum members)
This Studio workshop is for all levels and will focus on designing a studio painting from prior plein air studies or photo references.
Artists will learn to analyze the information they gathered in the field, interpreting color and value relationships in order to create depth in a landscape painting. Many outdoor painting principles will be discussed – including how to design a landscape and the importance of values, shapes, and edges – but with a greater focus on composing a finished piece. There will be slide presentations, demonstrations, critiques, and lots of one-on-one instruction.
